Hair fashion is beginning to turn the page on the popular “artfully undone” styles of the last two years. “The Beach Wave was a low maintenance look that appeared easy to achieve, when it was actually challenging to create”, says Anthony Marsalese, owner of Antonino Salon and Spa in downtown Birmingham. “Today’s trend is more of an old school or classic blow-dry with a more ‘finished’ look.”

“We are returning to using more velcro or hot rollers, curling irons and roller brush sets “says Anthony. “By using classic, tried and true techniques, we are able to achieve the newer-glossy styles of today. Think the classic 90’s blow-dry meet gloss and shine.
