The styling team from Antonino Salon, led by Anthony Marsalese, and Annette Abdelfatah, created edgy, romantic and very commercial looks for the 2014 Antonino Salon and Primary Syn Photo Shoot on October 27, 2014.

The photo’s, taken by Jenny Risher, “showcases four completely different looks and are all very wearable”, said Anthony Marsalese, “I think our clients will enjoy this season’s trends and will be inspired by the looks we created”. The trend release is the third collaboration between Antonino Salon and Primary Syn Hair Color. The color company’s owners, Toni Coleman and Tammy Coleman, enjoyed the day as they watched the Antonino team style four models, which included a vibrant red head, a deep chocolate brunette, a modern Ombre and an edgy, textured blonde.

Along with Anthony and Annette, the team from Antonino Salon included Tony Suarez, Janelle Drake, Catherine Wallis, Heather Hill and Jeff Davison. Todd Scogg of Todd’s Room in Birmingham did make up and Jeff Newsom styled the clothing.

One of the hottest hair trends of 2014 may surprise you…….

Alongside the “Lob”, and the “Pixie”, MEN are heading the runways in the world of beauty.

Anthony Marsalese, owner of the upscale Antonino Salon and Spa in Birmingham, Michigan, just returned from Intercoiffure’s Fall Atelier in New York City. The two-day event, held at the Waldorf Astoria, is by invitation only and is the premier event of the year in the beauty industry. Anthony has been a member of the prestigious organization for over ten years and hasn’t missed an atelier yet.

This year there was a “surprising trend” says Anthony, “two of the biggest presentations featured only men”. “Most people used to think of only women when they conjured a vision of Fall fashion, but that is quickly changing” said Anthony, “the day of the ‘metro-sexual’ is over and the idea of men visiting salons and spas has finally become mainstream and we’re finding more and more men now realize the value of looking and feeling their best”.

The percentage of male to female customers at Antonino Salon has doubled over the last few years as more and more men are beginning to color their hair and treat themselves to manicures, pedicures and other specialized spa services.

 

So, ladies, the time has come for the other half of the world’s population to share the runways and headlines in the fashion world.

And men, It’s time to step up, stay current and show the world that beauty isn’t just for women anymore.
