Monika Essen has been a client of Antonino Salon since Anthony and I met her twelve years ago. We were all guests at a B&B in Saugatuck at the same time and the connection was instant. Winning the prize for the most amount of hair on one head, the blonde Monika not only has very curly hair, she knows how to make it work. If you knew Monika, you would testify that you’ve never seen the same hairstyle twice.
Monika is an Interior Designer and Set/Costumer Designer. Balancing many projects at once, she is currently designing the set and costumes of Michigan Opera Theatre’s season opener-Carmina Burana, paired with The Medium. She is never just working on one project, the talented artist is also designing costumes and the set for Marie Antionette at The Performance Network in Ann Arbor.
